Common questions
I forgot my password. Can you reset it?
No — and this is by design. Your account exists only on your device, and the password is stored as a salted hash that even the app cannot reverse. There is no server holding a copy, so there is nothing for us to reset. If you cannot sign in, the only route is to delete the account from the sign-in screen and start again, which also deletes that account's data.
Where is my data stored? Is it backed up?
In the app's private storage on your device. We hold no copy. Your device's own backup (iCloud or Google) may include it, under your platform account and settings — that is between you and Apple or Google.
A barcode scan didn't find my product.
The app checks USDA FoodData Central first and falls back to Open Food Facts. Some regional and store-brand products are in neither. You can add the item manually from the label, and it will be saved for next time.
The nutrition numbers look different from the package.
Bundled foods use per-100 g reference values from USDA FoodData Central, which can differ from a specific brand's label. For an exact match, scan the barcode or enter the values from the package by hand.
Why does the app ask for camera and photo access?
The camera is used to scan barcodes and, if you choose, to take a photo of a product, a recipe, or a child's profile. Photo library access is only for attaching a photo you already have. Photos never leave your device. Both permissions are optional — the app works without them.
How do I delete everything?
More → Delete account & all data inside the app, or uninstall it. See the account deletion page for details.
Something isn't right
If you find an allergen tagged incorrectly, or nutrition data that looks wrong, please tell us — those reports get priority. Email support@axiompointlabs.com with the food name and what you'd expect to see.
Not medical advice. NutriNest provides general nutrition information based on USDA and CDC dietary reference values. For anything concerning your child's health, please speak to your pediatrician or a registered dietitian.
