Common questions
I got a new phone. How do I move my data?
Export a backup from the old phone, save it somewhere you can reach from the new one (Files, AirDrop, email, a cloud drive), install Baby & Me on the new phone, and restore from that file. Because there is no cloud account, this export is the only way your history travels between devices — do it before you wipe the old phone.
Is my data backed up automatically?
Only through your device's own backup — iCloud on Apple devices, Google backup on Android — if you have it turned on. We hold no copy of anything. If device backup is off and you have not exported a file, uninstalling the app loses your history permanently.
My baby was premature. Does the app handle corrected age?
Yes. Enter the due date alongside the birth date and the app uses corrected age for growth charts, milestones and sleep guidance until 24 months.
Can I track more than one child?
Yes — add as many as you need and switch between them. Each child's logs, growth, vaccines and milestones are kept separately.
Why does the app need notification permission?
For reminders and for the live sleep and feed timers that appear on your lock screen. Notifications are generated entirely on the device — the app has no push service and no server that could send you anything.
How do I delete my data?
Delete an individual child's profile in the app to remove that child's records, or uninstall the app to remove everything. There is nothing on our side to delete. Any backup file you exported stays wherever you put it, so delete that too if you want it gone.
Not medical advice. Everything in the app is informational and for personal tracking only. The medicine log records what you gave and when — it never recommends a dose. If you are worried about your baby or your own recovery, contact your pediatrician, OB or midwife. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
If you're struggling
The mood check-in in the app is a screening prompt, not a diagnosis. If it points you toward support, please follow up with a real person — your provider, or a helpline. In the United States you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, which handles postpartum distress as well.
